DESCRIPTION:Come learn the basics of the Lindy Hop\, the original swing dance born in the ballrooms of late 1920s Harlem.\n\nIn our beginner-level workshop\, you will learn the fundamental patterns and history of the Lindy Hop and swing dancing in general; some of the aesthetic principles of the dance; and how to put those things together to original swing music of the 20s and 30s — the most popular music in the world at the time.\n\nOur intermediate-level workshop will take a movement and learn several variations on the movement that can be put together in different ways to add variety and style to your dancing.\n\nAfter the workshop\, stick around for social dancing to practice what you’ve learned!\n\nBoth workshops $35\nOne workshop $25\nSocial dance is $10 (free with workshop purchase)
