Based in Pittsburgh, CrossBody Dance + Movement offers Latin dance classes and training specializing in Salsa (On1 & 2) and Bachata. We promote a fun, safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment to learn and grow. Latin dance is an excellent way to stay in shape, connect with others, instill confidence, and reduce stress. We offer private instruction, group instruction, special events, dance teams, team choreography, wedding choreography, and more!
Your Directors Rachel Booth & Vincent Jones
Vincent and Rachel are world champion Latin dancers, competitors, instructors, and choreographers. Together, they have performed across New York City, Washington DC, Chicago, Toronto, and throughout the East Coast and Midwest. They’ve won numerous awards in both Salsa and Bachata at national and international competitions, including the World Salsa Summit in Miami, World Latin Dance Cup in Colombia, Canada International Salsa Congress, Calgary International Salsa Congress, Montreal Salsa Convention, and more.
Rachel & Vincent bring a dynamic balance of technical precision and social dance energy to their teaching. They train dancers for competition and performance while emphasizing the importance of solid fundamentals for unforgettable social dancing.

Your Instructors
Rachel Booth

Rachel is an accomplished Salsa and Bachata dancer, instructor, and competitor, with deep expertise in both On1 and On2 Salsa styles and Bachata, plus additional training in Latin Hustle, American Rhythm ballroom styles, Viennese Waltz, and Tango. She is known for her passion for teaching technique and refining movement, whether preparing students for competitions, performances, or social dance floors. Rachel believes that strong technique creates powerful, confident social dancers.
Vincent Jones

Vincent brings over 15 years of Latin dance experience to his role as a dancer, instructor, and choreographer. His teaching style focuses on building practical, applicable skills that empower dancers to feel confident and comfortable on the dance floor. Vincent emphasizes strong technical foundations and practical movement, preparing students for both competitions and performances while nurturing their unique dance style. In his non-existent free time, Vincent is an avid chess player.
Santiago Carrasquilla

Santiago Carrasquilla is a social dancer, a life-longer learner, and all-around curious person. He strives to make every dance an opportunity to connect, discover new things, and have fun. Partner connection, musicality, and joy are at the heart of his dancing and teaching style. In his free time Santiago plays beach and indoor volleyball, DnD, and when possible, bike riding and camping.
Russ Brown

Russ Brown has been dancing socially for a decade. His favorite dances are salsa, casino, bachata, and cha-cha. His teaching focuses on dancing with confidence, creativity, and energy; and he wants to share his passion for dance with the community. When he is not dancing, you can find him in his car or playing strategy games.
Mike David

Mike David is a dynamic Kizomba instructor and DJ, and is director of Steel City Kizomba, a dance company that teaches and promotes African dance and culture in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. He has trained extensively in Kizomba and Semba, and other African dances. He has taught at various dance weekenders, festivals and events across the country and internationally. He is also knowledgable in latin dance styles, including salsa and bachata. Mike also DJ’s our Latin Thursday events at CrossBody, as well as other dance events across the city and beyond.
Katie Pendred

Katie Pendred is a passionate instructor with a diverse background in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. Since discovering salsa, she has immersed herself in the Latin dance scene, training extensively in salsa, bachata, Latin ballroom, and Argentine tango. Katie has studied bachata sensual in Spain with Pamela y Carlos. Katie has also earned multiple first-place amateur titles at the Salsa Summit Championship Her energetic teaching style focuses on building confidence, musicality, and body awareness in a fun and inclusive environment.
