Balboa Swing Workshop + Dance

This month, our topic is Balboa 2… a continuation of the Balboa workshop held in February. It will cover some more advanced and exciting material, but all students will need to know an up-hold basic and a come-around.
We have a power team coming together to teach this as well! Half the workshop will be taught by Bakari and Julia, and the other half will be taught by Kinsey and Doug.
What is Balboa? Balboa is a swing dance that emerged in the packed dance halls of Southern California where they played their music fast and dancers had to adapt to dancing up close. It is a musical and comfortable dance style with amazing energy and creativity.
